This week's fire starter
Spend 10 minutes in silent prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal any subtle self-righteousness, prejudice, or fear that you hold towards other people who view sexuality or their identity differently than you do your own. And ask God to give you his eyes and his heart
The second is to build one bridge. Intentionally reach out to someone in your life: a coworker, a family member, a neighbor, a friend, or someone who comes to mind that has a different background or perspective on this issue. And don't engage in debate. Simply show them Christ-like love. Buy them a cup of coffee. Listen to their story, and validate their dignity as an image-bearer of God.
